The updated store is nice. Sometimes, it is hard to navigate when it's really busy, but my fruits and vegetables are always fresh. Prices are low, especially when you combine digital coupons and cash back offers. Edit: I'm posting my fruits and vegetables that I got Tuesday. ALL are organic, and the veggies are all Simple Truth. The juice, Knusden, is my favorite....they have a huge selection of flavors. I bought everything shown, and it was under $20. Go on Tuesdays and Fridays, and most of the bagged items and salads are marked under $2 and are still fresh.

They have an AMAZING amount of gluten free stuff in the Passover section. These cakes are delicious and I put a little cup of vanilla ice cream and it was FABULUS! I will be trying more stuff.

The store is fine but Kroger, let's chat about your new self checkout line. It's by far the most time consuming, space wasting system you've had. And, for those of us trying to be environmentally responsible, where do we put our reusable grocery bags? The previous counters with a large weighing shelf was perfect as it could hold 2 large bags but you have replaced 3 of them with one slow process. Before, you can bag it as you're checking out (and sort your items in the bag you want (cold otems in one, cans in another, etc)). NOW, you very slowly put it one at a time through the conveyor belt, then it yells at you for being too full, then you go to the and to bag them quickly because there's a huge line behind you, then you run back to check out the rest of your items because you're being yelled at the machine whether you're done yet... you do this 3 times for one shopping trip. I avoid these space wasters like the plague. Please do a timed assessment and watch how customers are actually using your systems before you roll it out everywhere. I would bet you're losing big money on its inefficiency and real-estate. Because it weighs each item one at a time, it may help with loss prevention, but at what cost? My time. Also, me now thinking Aldi is quicker when i need to get dinner on the table? Maybe...
